HAKATA SIGHTSEEING TOUR

Enjoy a 4 - 5 hours tour of Hakata, the largest city in Kyushu with a local guide. Visit top recommended spots in Hakata via public transport and on foot. Hakata is famous for its gourmet food and shopping but there are also many places where you can feel the city’s deep rooted history including culture from mainland China in temples and shrines.

Itinerary :

08.00 am. Depart from Hotel or meet up at location with Guide. (Tenjin and Nakasu area only)

Ohori Park

Ohori Park is a historical park that originally functioned as a moat for Fukuoka Castle. Today, it is loved by locals as an oasis in the city center where many water birds and turtles live.

Fukuoka Castle Ruins

Fukuoka Castle used to be the largest castle on Kyushu but it was almost completely torn down after the Meiji Restoration as an unwanted symbol of the feudal past. Nowadays only ruined walls and a few turrets remain, and the park attracts visitors with walking trails and a few lookout points.

Fukuoka Tower 

The best seaside tower in Japan with Height 234 meters. From the Observation Deck on the top floor, which is 123 meters above the ground, you can enjoy a 360 degree panoramic view of Hakata Bay and the Fukuoka cityscape " Enjoy the Fukuoka sky and scenery ".

Marizon

This is a waterfront facility of Momochi Seaside Park. Located within just one minute walk from Fukuoka Tower and featuring various facilities lined up along the beach, it is a popular spot for dating and various leisure activities. You can see many people enjoying marine sports here and at the time of the sunset, you can enjoy a romantic view of the urban coastal area.
